Job Description:
You will be a key contributor in re-engineering a major analytical subsystem while migrating it from C++ to .Net platform. Your success will be based on your fundamental and practical knowledge of C# and your leadership skills as a member of this team. Your past experience in C++ and your current implementation skills in C# will enable you to successfully meet the challenges in moving a critical component to the .net platform.
Contribute to development of the next-generation analytical platform and services
Architect, design, and implement new high-performance components on .Net platform
Migrate native C++ components to .Net managed languages (C# and Managed C++)
Enhance functional capabilities, performance, and robustness of the existing system
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and software defects.
Will sponsor an H1B Transfer
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 9 years in commercial-grade software development, specializing in back-end business logic, frameworks, scalability and performance aspects of the system
Minimum 5 years developing Windows applications using C++
Minimum 3 years developing applications on .Net platform using C# (or Managed C++)
Creativity, strong problem solving and analytical reasoning skills
Must have the following technical expertise:
Proven skills in OOP/SOA architecture, design, and best-practices
Fluency in C# and strong knowledge of core functionality in .Net Framework
Strong experience in C++ on Microsoft Development platform
Multi-threading on Windows platform
SQL Server™, programming with T-SQL and Microsoft data access technologies
Knowledge of code analysis and performance-tuning tools
Experience with the following is a plus:
Background in math, high-performance computational programming, optimizations, and distributed cluster/grid-based parallel computing
Declarative rules-based software systems
B.S. in CS or equivalent.

Job Description:
Become a Senior member of the growing company Software Research and Development team. Your help is needed to provide our clients with sophisticated modeling and analytical products that analyze the impact of catastrophe events, like hurricanes, earthquakes and terrorist attacks, and estimate the replacement value of residential and commercial properties. You will join the application team helping to create software that will serve as the services framework for running the company business services. You will become the Team Lead for the application.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The position involves troubleshooting and supporting the assembly, alignment, testing of small micro-optical and opto-mechanical assemblies and under limited supervision of a lead engineer and program manager, in a low volume production environment. The position also involves supporting the coordination of workflow and traceability thorough Work Orders, Configuration Audit Sheets, Build Books, etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: – ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED.
- BS Optics or Physics
- 7+ years hands on experience with assembly, alignment and testing of small opto-mechanical and micro-optical systems and components for low volume production
- Experience designing fixtures for precision small opto-mechanical and micro-optical alignment
- Experience with bonding of optics and using epoxies appropriate for the application
- Ability to assemble and align opto-mechanical assemblies using a microscope if necessary
- Experience working in a low volume production environment utilizing Work Orders, Configuration Audit Sheets, Build Books, etc
- Specific experience with handling, testing, splicing and assembly of optical fibers and/or optical fiber pigtailed devices is a plus
- US Citizenship is a bona fide requirement as applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation.
- Must possess good written communication skills to document work performed.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Masters degree in optics or phyisics
- Experience with environmental stress screening

Basic Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding and experience with fiber optics components, such as diode lasers, external modulators, various fibers types, couplers, isolators, WDMs, tunable filters, EDFAs, dispersion compensators, fiber switches, receivers etc.
• Experience in the fundamentals of F/O subsystems assembly, including fiber pig-tailing, splicing, connector-ization, and optical packaging.
• Demonstrate understanding of fiber-optic transmission and digital communication theory.
• Knowledge of high-speed optoelectronic test equipment for SONET and Ethernet optical modules is advantageous. U.S. citizenship required.
